In the economic sphere, resistance to higher initial investments, limited financing capacity and the perception of a high cost for sustainable projects are recurrent barriers. Regarding the regulatory framework, the lack of a robust legal framework, the absence of clear fiscal incentives and the institutional weakness to promote sustainable construction make it difficult to consolidate these practices.
Strategic recommendations
To overcome these challenges and take advantage of existing opportunities, it is essential to diversify financing sources, strengthen the technical training of professionals in the sector, develop clearer regulatory frameworks and create tax incentives that encourage investment in green projects. These actions will not only contribute to the consolidation of sustainable architecture in Mexico, but will also improve the quality of life of communities and promote a more balanced and resilient urban development.
